What on earth

...is she thinking about here? Charlie-Jae seems to be wondering if her parents are serious about all this fuss.

Her mom and dad dressed her up for Valentine's day. Even the shoes say I love Daddy. However her facial expression seems to be saying, I think Daddy and Mommy need a night off.

Just wanted to post these pictures as they are amongst my favorite. I think I'll have the second one framed and put on the wall.

Be blessed,

Beginning a new week

My baby and his baby on Valentine's Day...2008

So I didn't get to see Ms. Fuss, but it was entirely my call. I was tired, and more than a little discouraged and didn't want to bring that to the party.

I still can't believe that I'm a Grandma! This little person has my heart wrapped around her tiny perfect little finger. How can such a little person hold so much power? We jump to it when she's fussy, we laugh when she smiles, we beg for "just one more burpus", and we always have to get that one last kiss in.

Sunday was here, and Ms. Fuss came and took over with a vengence. She slept in the middle of my bed and then opened her eyes to look around. The grunting started (ummm no they don't gurgle in the beginning) the hands and feet started waving and she continued the conversation she started with the ceiling fan last week.

She and I went into the kitchen to warm a bottle, and she looked at everything, taking it all in. Aaaaah the fun is about to begin. Remember sense of wonder your children had when they were little? As a Grandma I now get to enjoy it all again, as my little one embarks upon exploring the world.

The Girls (my doglets) on the other hand, don't look as happy about the eventuality of her walking, and touching as I do. They sniff her when she comes in. One goes on her bed, the other, sits sentry by the playpen, ready to dash into the closet at a moment's notice. They come out of hiding when she's asleep and look at me as if to say "why on earth would you bring that pup into the house....she doesn't even have fur!"

Sunday's are good days for me. My grand daughter comes to visit, her parents come to dinner in the evening, and we all end up laughing, joking and enjoying each other's company.

It's a perfect way to begin the week.

Be blessed,

Grandma-land is wonderful

This is my ticket into Grandma Land. It's wonderful here. I get to hug and love this precious baby and then...you guessed it...send her home to her parents and have a great night's sleep.

Getting to Grandma Land is not easy. First you have to have and raise children in Mommy Land. It's only if you survive that fun house, and your children aren't major head cases, that you start to dream about Grandma Land.

It's important that you realize that sometimes the entrance is not thru a doorway that you would have particularly chosen. However, don't let that dissuade you. Once you're inside, it's a magnificient place to be.

Be blessed,
